Call for Papers -SCTAM14: The First International Workshop on,Smart Computing Technologies and Applications in Mobile Environments
Deadline was extend to Sep. 15. ------------Call for Papers The First International Workshop on Smart Computing Technologies and Applications in Mobile Environments SCTAM 2014 Nov. 5, 2014, Hong Kong http://ndc.sysu.edu.cn/sctam/ To be held in conjunction with 2014 International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2014) Smart computing is emerging as an important multidisciplinary area, which effectively makes use of computer hardware, software, and communication networks together with digital sensors, smart devices, internet technologies, big data analytics, computational intelligence and intelligent systems to realize various innovative applications. Smart computing based on mobile devices is an especially interesting research filed, which involves networks, systems, algorithms, and applications that support mobile computers and wireless networks with smart design. This workshop intends to bring together researchers in the area of mobile computing and wireless networking to share new ideas/experiences on smart computing, including pervasive/ubiquitous computing, mobile cloud computing, internet of things, mobile security and privacy, mobile social computing, cyber-physical systems, etc. SCTAM2014 welcomes submissions from both researchers and practitioners from academia and industry that explore challenges and advances in technologies and applications related to smart computing. Topics of Interest Original, unpublished contributions are solicited in all aspects of smart computing in mobile environments. The topics include, but are not limited to: = Smart applications with mobile/wireless devices -Smart healthcare via mobile devices -Smart and intelligent transportation via mobile/wireless networks -Vehicular networks and applications -Social networks using Smartphones and sensors = Data communication and management in mobile/wireless networks -Crowd-sourcing, cooperative, participatory and social sensing -P2P, overlay, and content distribution over mobile devices -Named data network with mobile networks = Operating systems and middleware support for mobile devices -Localization and location based services -Machine-to-machine (M2M) communications -Power-aware architectures, algorithms -Synchronization and coordination among mobile devices -Reliability, resiliency and fault tolerance in mobile/wireless networks -Security, privacy issues in mobile and wireless environments = Experiences, real-world applications and deployments Submission Guidelines Paper submissions should be no longer than 8 pages with a font size of 10 using the IEEE conference template. Papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files. All submitted papers will be subject to peer reviews by Technical Program Committee members and other experts in the field. All presented papers in the conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Authors are requested to first register their submissions and submit their manuscripts in PDF format via EDAS. Selected papers with high quality will be published by the international journal "Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks". AHSWN is a journal abstracted and indexed by SCI (Science Citation Index Expanded).
