All concerned, Status update for TAMU * Path ACL (UCSC paper): -- implemented, but it still has some problems related with FUSE option and some code (60% completed) * Rename: fully implemented and working but we should consider new interface for rename to reduce copy overhead (80% completed) * Proposed new idea to reduce list (directory lookup) overhead -- In previous design, every metadata has its own record even though the size is smaller than 200byte. In this suggestion, only directories have a record to store metadata for files and sub-dirs in the directory. It is motivated by the fact that too many server connections for "ls" can crashes FUSE client. It can not only reduce number of server connections for directory lookup when the filesystem grows up, but also increase the performance.
