Thank you for participating in the CACHES 2011 workshop. As we had mentioned during the workshop, the best papers at the workshop will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of High Performance Computing Applications (IJHPCA, http://hpc.sagepub.com/) on "Applications for the Heterogeneous Computing Era". This special issue will feature extended versions of a subset of the selected papers presented at CACHES. Please let us know as soon as possible, but no later than June 10th, if you plan to submit your work to this special issue.

Here's some relevant information that you might need:

1. The actual deadline for the journal special-issue submission will be Jul. 31st. Notification date is intended to be Oct. 15th.

2. Compared to the CACHES submissions, the journal versions are expected to have sufficient additional material (the rule of thumb is to have at least 30% extra). They can use a different title and author list, but please use your judgment with this to make sure it's not a completely different paper (these are meant to be only extended versions of CACHES papers, not new papers).

3. The formatting instructions for the journal submission can be found here: http://www.sagepub.com/journalsProdManSub.nav?prodId=Journal201339.

4. Paper submissions for IJHPCA can be done through this website: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ijhpca. *Important*: You will need to select Pavan Balaji as the subject area editor (SAE); otherwise, your paper will automatically be moved to general issue of the journal. Also, once you have submitted the paper, please drop us a note informing us about it, so we can make sure we received the paper OK (especially if you changed the title/authors of the paper compared to the CACHES submission).

5. Though the journal final versions have no page limit, the review versions, that are due on Aug. 31st, have a limit of 20 pages in the above mentioned format. This is in order to help the reviewers do a thorough job with the reviews.
