Greetings, This weekend we will be performing some maintenance on the central files servers. It will be necessary for the servers to be made offline and unavailable for the duration of the maintenance. It should only take a few minutes to a half hour but I am going to schedule 2 hours in case of problems. All services related to the fileservers will be unavailable or intermittently available during these two hours. You should not expect any services that are working during the maintenance period to continue to work until after the "All-Clear" message has been sent out. The services affected are: mcs home filesystems samba unixhome directories MCS project directories This means that logins to the MCS linux desktops will fail as well.
