There appears to be some heap corruption happening that causes a free() call to abort(). But that could be happening anywhere. For example, the ancient ACIS libraries used by Cubit 10.x have many mis-matched new[] and delete (no brackets) calls that weren't a problem in the past but may be for a newer version of libstdc++. - jason
