Brian, I thought this sounded familiar, so I dug back in the recent archives and found..

One of the fundamental tennents of comedy: If i do something once, it's funny. twice, repetitive. but three times... after three times it becomes a running joke and you can milk it FOREVER!!! Alas, the jig is up... and I was so looking forward to bi-weekly "walks into a ..." jokes :> ==rob -- Rob Latham Mathematics and Computer Science Division A215 0178 EA2D B059 8CDF Argonne National Labs, IL USA B29D F333 664A 4280 315B

The true path to comedy gold involves and of the following: Robots, Monkeys, Pants or Pirates. Put it on a stick to make it funnier (which is why pirates have peg legs) Set it on fire for the path to true enlightenment. So: A monkey with a pirate on his shoulder walks into a bar, where he meets a robot. "What's that thing you got stuck to you?" asks the robot. "I dunno," says the pirate, "I just woke up this morning and there it was." Then the pirates pants burst into flames. The end. Okay, no gold, but it made me laugh. Here's some real pirate humor: ...And then he asked, "Lord, what about when there was only one set of footprints, and also a straight line with bootprints on one side and small, round circles on the other?" The Lord replied, "Those were the times that I carried you, and we were joined by a pirate pushing a wheelbarrow." [courtesy topfive.com] -- Craig

Oh my, i really probably should think better of this, but here goes... A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel affixed to his crotch. The bartender asks him "Hey buddy, what's the deal with the steering wheel?" The pirate says "ARRRR, It's driving me nuts! ==rob -- Rob Latham Mathematics and Computer Science Division A215 0178 EA2D B059 8CDF Argonne National Labs, IL USA B29D F333 664A 4280 315B
To bring it back around... How many blondes does it take to walk into a bar? Two, one to light the pirate's pants on fire and the other to catch the robot monkey and put it on a stick. Von
Oh, no. What did I start... Thus spake Von Welch ([email protected]):
