Breeze and Wind

FYI: Web sites hosted on breeze and wind went offline ~0215hrs this morning (thats my best estimate right now). I restarted apache on both and the alarms are clearing. -corby

sirius been hacked?

I took a look around on the machine and didn't find anything that references that IP or anything on that subnet. I dug around in /var and umounted /dev/shm. I did notice it isn't running the latest secure kernel, and the also isn't running the latest version of bind. I updated bind, but will have to reboot to get the kernel. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Gene can you look for flows from 140.221.8.88 -> 207.109.18.166 I would like to see if it is real, or someone out there is spoofing us. Kbt: Began process of rebuilding /software tree. We've debated this being top/not top priority, but a ticket review shows we really need to do this. Created new account for pathscale and documented it on the hpc wiki Installed the most recent 2 versions of pathscale. Continued testing/configuring modules for kbt. Cosmea: Upgraded (temporarily) the storage on cosmea using borrowed hardware from breadboard. Ran fiber under BMR floor for borrowed 10G fiber. Worked with Corby and Rick/Narayan to get this link setup. Migrated cluster from fs01/fs02 (which have issues) to fs03.
