Hmmm, I took a look, and the only switch I see in the closet is in a rack resting on top of a computer at the bottom of the rack, and the switch has been unplugged. Specifically, the power cord has been removed from the back of the switch. John

Yes, the podium network jack is wired through that switch. If you have a compelling reason to take the switch out now, that's okay, but we're going to be in this building for another 2 months, so I'd like to leave it if it's an option.
