For the Record: The bit that broke was that [email protected] should be an alias in the "secondary.mcs.anl.gov" domain under the account name [email protected]. For some reason, (still trying to determine exactly why. There is some mention around the third that Stephen Wright spoke with Jose More who said that Sven Leffer approved the optonlin account. As far as I understand the optonlin account should not need to be re-approved, it is a permanent account ... there is nothing in the userbase logs for the optonlin account that says that it was disabled, or re-enabled or that it should ever need to be. I can only assume that whatever happened with the account on the 3rd is what set off the userbase scripts which clobbered the zimbra account) on June 3rd the [email protected] account was renamed [email protected]. I've moved it back and the workflow outlined above should work again.
This workflow needs to be re-engineered. I'll work with Steve when I'm back at work to figure this out and not do this in a hacky way that doesn't fit into our account management methodology. On Jun 8, 2011, at 10:46 AM, Adam Max Trefonides wrote:

Yes. In the other message that I sent to Stephen I told him that we need to work this out in a better way. -- m On Jun 8, 2011, at 12:40 PM, Craig Stacey wrote:
