Hello, We will soon be changing out all of the current Canon copier/printers to begin a new five year contract with the current vendor, Canon Business Solutions. The machines will be comparable to what we currently have but with some option features now standard on the machines. Based on your current configuration there will be a cost savings. This is an opportunity to review your division’s current requirements and select new machines to fit those needs. The first step in the process will begin next week, October 25 – 27, with the vendor holding equipment and eCopy demonstrations in bldg 240 room 1416 . Many divisions use eCopy for log on authentication and there have been a lot of upgrades to the software that may be of benefit to your division. While the machines won’t look much different I encourage you to attend and bring others along. It’s a good time to ask questions and see what changes there are to the machines. It also provides valuable feedback to the vendor and me. Next week I will provide you with a PDF file listing all of your current machines, location, average monthly volume for the previous year, and the current monthly base cost to help identify what equipment to order. Orders will need to be placed by November 2. The actual change out of the machines will happen during the first two weeks of December. As we did with the last install, please reserve a time to attend the demo so everyone will be able to see the machines and ask questions without a large crowd. Demos will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 – noon and again from 1:00 to 3:00. Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00. We’ll schedule in hour blocks. Please call or email me to sign up.
