For now, please do whatever you need to solve the problem if its    affecting all users, and we can sort things out on monday.

If you want to just compress things, if you do things older than a    month (or even a week) I strongly suspect there will be no user    impact, and I will take responsibility for any impact that does    occur (short of data loss ;)

Mike A, can you confirm that this is just an archival directory, and    that moving old logs elsewhere will not impact any work for    HNL/CNARI?

That dir looks to me like Swift logs.

If you need space ASAP, you can consider doing this: - make a log dir in CNARI space on PADS (I'll suggest a dir in a moment) - make a symlink logs/OLD to that log "archive" - move logs older than 30 days to the OLD/<username> directory

Will that solve the problem?

Moving forward, we can automate this.

We *do* however need to keep these logs for the moment.

The cnari project in /ci/projects is using about 60% of the    total available capacity of that drive. Most of that is in the logs directory. Is it possible to clean up that space? Possibly    delete unneeded log files (400G worth)?
