I thought that I would share these with all of you. I am taking Logic and Troubleshooting this Semester. I did these last night. I think I figured out 1,2 & 4 correctly. I am still working on 3. As a double check of my work before I submit, I thought that any of you would like to try and see if I got the same thing. Let me know if you do them! T. Refer back to the deduction puzzle we did together. Here are some for you to work on. Besides figuring out the solutions, you will also need to show your work. As important as getting the right answer is the process by which you get to the final answer. Each question should have a chart and at least a paragraph explaining your reasoning. The Abercrombie family has three members (father, mother, and the little 4-year old girl). They use nicknames when talking to one another - Hawk, Red, and Cat (once again, not necessarily in that order). Hawk is not the father, and Hawk is older than Cat (a female). How are the family members related to each other? A murder has occurred, and a special crime scene group has been called in as experts. The team is made of five women and one man, one of them a profiler. You also know that Caroline, Daisy, and the anthropologist met in the airport upon arrival. Seeley, the only male in the group, is not a criminologist. Temperance is not the detective; Camille is not the anthropologist or the DNA expert. After an initial review of the crime scene, the group discussed the crime together at a local diner. Sitting at the table were the criminologist, Caroline, Camille, the weapons expert, the female detective, and Angela. Can you determine what each person's area of expertise is? Four friends each decided to acquire both a kitten and a puppy from the local Humane Society last week. The kittens were named after the adopted puppies of one of the other friends. The puppies each have different names. One of the puppies is named Lassie. Steve's cat is not named Sherlock, and his dog is named Teeka. Kimberly's cat is named Audie. Patty named her cat after Melissa's dog. What are the names of the cats and the dogs? Three friends met each other for breakfast on a regular basis - Mr. Brown, Mr. Green, and Mr. White. Each man was wearing a hat - and there was a brown one, a green one, and a white one. Oddly, none of them was wearing a hat that matched his name. Mr. Brown sat next to his friend wearing a white hat. Can you determine the color of each man's hat?
