The mailrelay servers are configured to send email via a transport map to [mailrelay.mcs.anl.gov].  The [] means it does an A lookup and not an MX lookup.
 
mailrelay.mcs.anl.gov maps to:
 
mailrelay.mcs.anl.gov    canonical name = newman.mcs.anl.gov.
Name:    newman.mcs.anl.gov
Address: 140.221.15.25
 
So as long as it can do the DNS lookup, we should be ok.   All of our mail & DNS servers are in 221.

We have set up a new load balancer / failover system in building 221. We have a new IP that does a round robin DNS for our mail exchangers, newman and newman-2, can you check to be sure that the anl relays are sending to:

140.221.15.25
