Did someone put an electronic chirpy thing in my office? I keep hearing little chirps from time to time, but I can't tell where they're coming from. I know it's not an Annoy-o-tron from Think Geek, since I know what those sound like. Maybe I'm just going crazy. -- Craig

Well, you are crazy (we all are :) ), but that may not be ths source of the chirp. Is it motion sensor light switch or a different chirp? John
It's a three or four beep ascending glissando chirp, of a sound quality you would expect from a small piezoelectric speaker. John Valdes <[email protected]> wrote:

maybe a notification from the new tablet? There are a bunch of weird sounds that come out of a nexus 7 by default. -nld On Oct 25, 2012, at 3:19 PM, Craig Stacey wrote:

Possible, but I don't hear them at home. Current theory is that it's something in the electrical closet. Narayan Desai <[email protected]> wrote:

Craig, there is nothing in the closet. Go to sleep. -- Max Trefonides MCS Systems [email protected] On Oct 25, 2012, at 3:39 PM, Craig Stacey <[email protected]> wrote:

I stopped by your office to have a listen, and I noticed that your locker door is open. Likely, it is blocking the motion sensor in the switch from "seeing" you, and so it thinks no one is in the office and is turning off the light switch, beeping in the process. Additionally, your locker door is open at a ~45° angle, so likely the sound is reflecting off the locker door towards the closet door, making it sound like it's coming from there. I'm guessing you don't normally have your locker door open, so that's why you hadn't heard this before? Just my guess. John
