The MCS operations meeting on Monday yielded some changes in our mailing lists Marc wanted me to implement. I'm putting them through, but listing them here so everyone knows. * [email protected] is going away. The alias will point to [email protected]. * [email protected] is made up of [email protected] (aka [email protected]), plus anyone who chooses to subscribe to it. * mcs-staff is made up of staff-auto@mcs (an automatically generated list of anyone with an MCS appointments), and staff-managed@mcs (a manually managed list of people (by Pat/Tamra) who have multiple appointments and thus aren't caught in the first list). * mcs-visitors is gone. Members were sent pointers to announce@mcs and seminars@mcs to subscribe to if they wish. * seminars had [email protected] added as a subscriber, and had everyone currently on [email protected] unsubscribed. If you get mail from someone who's staff wondering why they can't unsubscribe from seminars@mcs, it would be because they're on staff and can't unsubscribe from that. If it's a real problem for them, we can show them how to filter them (or do it for them). * I'm also working on automating the population of supervisors@mcs based on info I'll get from Pat.
