KBT: Worked with IBM some more from last week on closing out the backlog of hardware tickets. IBM was done by wed, but I updated and closed the RT tickets thursday. Began reading/understanding modules (like softenv, but C/tcl) for eventually switching KBT over. Need to reinstall one node (its HD was replaced) and make time to do more work on the new storage nodes (they are racked, but need installing, configuring, etc) Cosmea: Did minimal work on getting bcfg2 going again. Distracted by whatami updates. Met with users/owners on storage issues. Talked with Corby and have our first quote(s) for possible networking changes. Need to get two more quotes one for kbt/bb style storage server(s) and one for BlueArc. Stalled on quote for gpfs from IBM. MCS: More updates, so called "fixes" to whatami. I want to be done with this iteration of whatami - at this point, backwards compatibility retards most any forward progress. Checked updates into svn and announced it for testing. https://svn.mcs.anl.gov/repos/whatami/bin if people want it. -- Hunter Matthews Unix Administrator Office: Bldg 221 Room B240 Argonne National Labs, MCS Key: F0F88438 / FFB5 34C0 B350 99A4 BB02 9779 A5DB 8B09 F0F8 8438 Never take candy from strangers.
