I’m attempting to install mpich-3.2.1 on an ARM system using the armclang compiler.  The configure works OK, but I get the following error during the build:

 

GEN      lib/libmpi.la

clang-5.0: error: unknown argument: '-soname'

clang-5.0: error: no such file or directory: 'libmpi.so.12'
