I looked at your log files as shown below. I don't know where the path "/users/login/ahe72/web/HarborBranch/BuildDirectory/mpich/src/mpl" comes from.

Making all in /users/login/ahe72/web/HarborBranch/BuildDirectory/mpich/src/mpl

You can either try to clean up your build directory and build again, or try to build mpich directly in its source code directory, i.e., " ./configure --prefix=..."
