Hello,

I'm trying to install mpich2-1.5 in a RHEL7 without success. Running "make":

parallel-tests: error: required file 'confdb/test-driver' not found

parallel-tests: 'automake --add-missing' can install 'test-driver'

make[2]: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make: *** [all] Error 2

The complete list of step is:

unset CPPFLAGS

unset F90

unset F90FLAGS

export F77=/opt/pgi/linux86-64/10.4/bin/pgf90

export FC=/opt/pgi/linux86-64/10.4/bin/pgf90

./configure --prefix=/opt/mpich2-1.5 --enable-sharedlibs=gcc --enable-smpcoll --enable-romio --enable-fc --enable-cxx --enable-pipecoll --enable-mpe --enable-shared --with-pm=mpd |& tee c.txt make

The same source, with the exact same options, works perfectly in CentOS 6.5.

Meanwhile i did some checking and probably the problem is due to the Red HAT automake version 1.13 that makes default a new parallel "test driver".

Any ideas on how to resolve this?
