Hi, Well, if you think about it "it is the right thing to do" (Although I agree that mpiexec could add more flexibility). MPI processes are launched by the process manager that typically runs as a service and these processes don't have access to network drives due to security concerns (Windows security). However if you running all your MPI processes on the local computer you could try running your job with the "localonly" option (remove the map option and add "localonly" option: mpiexec -localonly -n 2 MY_MPI_PGM.exe ).
