Re: [mpich-discuss] missing static libraries in 3.2.1
Hi Roger, libopa and libmpl are now statically linked in libmpi. They are not intended to be user-facing libraries. I see that we still install the shared versions, but those should be removed in future releases. As for libmpichcxx.a, it is now named libmpicxx.a. If desired, we can add a symlink for the old name, as we did for the shared version. Ken On 04/02/2018 04:41 PM, Roger Moye wrote:
All,
I recently downloaded mpich 3.2.1 and built the package. In the libs directory it is missing the static libraries for libmpichcxx.a, libmpich.a, libopa.a, libmpl.a. I built the package with –enable-static but it still did not generate these libraries. I looked back through our older versions and it seems the last one we built with these libraries was 3.0.2. Is there something extra I need to do to allow the build process to generate these libraries?
Thanks in advance!
