Gilles, This is running for the hostname script (giving exactly the same log for shell and crontab) but adding these two lines does not work for my original script. at the beginning of your cron script and try again

Should I add export PATH=/usr/local/mpich2-1.0.5 to the script? I'm gonna try. What about the ldd message?
