Hi all, How do we rearrange the disk stuff on mesh? I'm thinking we'll have subdirectories under /usr/local/itaps: Implementations Services Applications Dist Tutorial_Exercises Tutorial_Notes Anything else? Documentation? I know we discussed this but don't remember the conclusion. I'd say we/I should make those directories and let others move/install into them when they're ready. - tim -- ================================================================ "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Tim, I see that you have made these directories. I am not completely sure what goes where. iZoltan is a service, but where should Zoltan, siMPI, ParMETIS3_1, and paraview-... go? My guess would be that Zoltan, siMPI and ParMETIS3_1 should go in services with iZoltan and paraview-... should go in apps. Vitus On Fri, 2008-11-14 at 08:43 -0700, Tim Tautges wrote:

I really like Tim's suggested directory structure, but I am concerned that if we move things now, our hand-outs and makefiles will be out-of-date. How much last-minute work are we up for today? :) :) Karen On 11/14/08 10:09 AM, "Vitus Leung" <[email protected]> wrote:

Hi all, I have my concerns about major changes right now. I do like Tim's directory structure and I suggest we use it in the Dist directory. I don't think we should make major changes to /usr/local/itaps at this late date as I don't think we have time to test... I would much rather see things added to Dist and have folks do a first order pass at making sure they can download and build what's there. While I won't be making major changes to what's posted on the web site before the tutorial, if folks are interested we will point them to software in the Dist directory to download and try - it would be nice if everything there had been built by at least one other person as a sanity check. That said, all that's there now is the zoltan and fmdb stuff... can we get the other software there as well? I have a meeting now and will be back in an hour or so - I'll make the changes to the formated instruction pages to match what's currently in the directory and print around 10:30-11 am. I'm also going to download the slides to my laptop at that time. Unfortunately, I will be away from my office this afternoon, so I need to get this done before lunch. Lori Devine, Karen D wrote:

No, but that's next on my list (I've already grabbed the latest version of the tutorial slides). I think my changes will be pretty localized, so I won't lock the repo version until I'm ready to insert the new ones. - tim Devine, Karen D wrote:
