Yiqi, The variable - NC_MAX_DIMS: is the maximum number of dimensions that can be used to specify the shape of a single variable. Why do you have that many datasets? Recompiling netCDF with increased NC_MAX_DIMS might solve your problem. If you point us to the file on MCS network, we can take a look. -- Rajeev Jain Mathematics and Computer Science Argonne National Laboratory 1134, Bldg 240, Chicago IL USA 60439 O: 630-252-3176 [email protected] ________________________________ From: "Yu, Yiqi" <[email protected]> To: Vijay S. Does this have anything to do with the number of blocks in the problem? I don't think so, but want to make sure. Sent from my iPhone

Rajeev, Because this mesh has 540 blocks. I do not know how NC_MAX_DIMS is counted in netCDF. As long as I decrease the number of the block number, It works well. I put the mesh on MCS /nfs2/yiqi/mesh/7pins.Could you take a look? I think you can load it into cubit. Let me know if there is other alternatives for assigning blocks regions without increasing the variable - NC_MAX_DIMS. Thank you Yiqi -----Original Message----- From: Shemon, Emily R.
