Ok, the nightly tests look good. There's some failure for shm with Intel compilers, but I'm planning to ignore that since this is only an alpha (and I don't particularly like shm).

If no one has any objections, I can tag mpich2-1.3a1 and create a tarball.

Did you create a branch for the 1.3 release ? i.e. Can I check in anything to svn ? There's no plan to create a branch for 1.3a1, so it's all on the trunk. Don't commit anything as yet (unless it's a critical bug fix). I'll send out another email once trunk is open for commits again.
