Re: [mpich2-maint] #1532: xhpl compiled with mpich2 has a memory leak
Yes we have myricom's version, but it is very slow (unusable). Your version of mpich2 is much faster, but this memory leak prevents us from being able to use it with xhpl. It does work fine on a small number of nodes with xhpl. The leak manifests itself when you begin growing the number of cores. Watching on a node with top shows that 2 of the 8 xhpl processes on a node seem to grow without bound until all memory is exhausted and xhpl dies. Have you tried using the MPICH2-MX available from Myricom? http://www.myricom.com/kb/index.php?title=MPI_Implementations_with_MX
