Is there a configure option to add flags to whatever configure picks as your CFLAGS/COPTFLAGS? Something like --CFLAGS+=“-my-flag1 -my-flag2”.

I often find myself wanting to add additional debug flags or warning flags, but so far the only method that as worked has been to run configure once, copy the CFLAGS, and reconfigure with my flags added to the end of the list.
