We started with a fresh history using BK.

If you have it archived somewhere, we can import it, but it will change the SHA1s of everything afterward so everyone would need to reclone.

/home/bsmith/petsc-historic [hopefully its uncorrupted in these many years] We made a backup on some CDs - have to see if there are still somewere in our offices.. Satish
