Weekly Status - SSM test

Hi, We are modifying test programs to perform regression tests for stable ssm release. The test modules will include reproducing the bugs we have found on race conditions while establishing one to many connections and improve testability by fixing its buffering issues. Thank you Seok Bae Yun

Dear All, Last week I have been looking into the Permis codebase to evaluate the feasibility to adapt it to the LWFS type model. It looks fairly possible currently. I am going to add shibboleth on top of Permis this week. I have been also working on attaining the parameters from Darshan, and will re-run the petri nets tests and the LWFS simulations with the new parameters. Thanks, Benafsh

Status Update

All, I have been working on fixing the bugs in my code for the LWFS simulation over ROSS and obtaining parameters from Darshan. We should have meaningful results soon. I am also working on a paper for the simulation along with the theoretical analysis of LWFS. I am also currently installing PERMIS, to analyze the ease of the tool and its applicability for our system. Thanks, Benafsh

SSM update

All, This past week we identified and fixed a rare race condition that could occur under contention and cause dropped messages or segfaults under high message counts; Matthew Curry helped us identify the issue and provided support for reproduction. We also fixed a few minor quality of life issues in the build process. This week we will have all staff on hand ready to move forward into the fall, and will work to have a fall timeline available soon. Shane
