Mary sent a ping earlier - I responded that it was in your mailbox waiting for you to ok it. We took Ray's suggestions, and fixed those. We got another reviewer not from the board to also look at it, and those comments were in the message. The message w/the same subject line as this one but from ~2p.m., is asking if you are ok /w the article now, whether your concerns had been addressed and I could upload it. Dear all, Here is an update on what we have, and what we need to start working on. We have the Metagenomics article - Rob Edwards - the final version has been sent to this group for review. - waiting for internal response The next items are taken from Mary's notes from the October meeting: For issue 13 which is what should have been submitted 2/15 we have: Rob's article For issue 14: The Epidemology - VT article was moved by IOP to issue 13 - this was complete and submitted on 2/10 - I have had a couple of exchanges w/ Eve on this so IOP is working this. HW - testalem - quote from Steven Chiu?? (Rick) For Issue 15: the list is pretty sparse, but we have no items For Issue 16: HW - Power 7 (Rick) Pending ANL articles in queue Programmimg models for Roadrunner HPCS languages - Fortress/X10/Chapel (this was on hold, but we should probably revisit) Non-Medical Tomography,3D scans of dinosaurs, TX Predicting/Testing protein structure - David Baker NEW - Data Center article - Microsoft/Amazon - Dan Reed, ??? NEW - past success and future direction - MPI and multithreading Other ideas HW - Power 7/Intel HW - BG/Q Interview with Dan Reed, Microsoft IDEAS Focus - R&D 100 awards - ideal in terms of communicating impact ACTION - Prepare list of R&D 100 Awards for ASCR wins (MS) I don't have any information on the Pending items, except what is above, so if you have contacts for trying to get them going, please let me know.
