Success!!! With some help from Jane, I was able to determine that it was missing dependencies for OCC that were causing the problem, namely FreeType. I think it is very important to note: OCC will identify missing dependencies during configure, but will STILL build successfully and not report any other errors. OCC doesn't actually do anything with "make check" so there is not way to know. In my case, there was a note during configure on missing "Mandatory" dependencies, but it build successfully and even allowed me to build CGM successfully. did you build occ shared or static? We build here shared And then we set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/homes/fathom/3rdparty/occ/OpenCASCADE6.6.0/gccGnep/lib also, the build uses cgm13.1 branch
gnep/disks/itaps-buildslave/cgm131-occ660/build> git branch * cgm13.1
It looks like you have a missing file.

Hi again,
just looked at gnep and confirmed that make check is occurring.
Here is my config: ../configure --with-occ=/home/wilsonp/.local/OCC/6.6.0_patched --prefix=/home/wilsonp/.local/cgm/13.1.1_occ660
Make check log: make_check_log Errors are attached as: make_check_err The errors are all in iTaps, so I included: test-suite.log
I'll also try to sit with Jane to look at these.

Hi Iulian,
[Adding CGM mailing list]
Do you run 'make check' on buildbot? I did a clean build of OCC6.6.0 and CGM13.1.1 and it built successfully but failed on 'make check'.

hello, I built occ 6.6.0 on gnep.mcs, and cgm 13.1 configured with it worked fine last night http://gnep.mcs.anl.gov:8010/builders/cgm131-occ660 On mcs network, occ 660 is installed at: /homes/fathom/3rdparty/occ/OpenCASCADE6.6.0/gccGnep
I will update instructions on http://trac.mcs.anl.gov/projects/ITAPS/wiki/BuildingOcc65
Jane, will all cgm branches work against occ 660? (I am pretty sure master branch will work, I don't know about cgm12.2)

Hi Paul, occ 653 was built on gnep.mcs.anl.gov. It is not built every night, as part of buildbot. gnep is at ubuntu 10.04, but I did built it on my laptop successfully, too, which is 12.04
Maybe I don't understand the question.
What kind of instructions? Maybe they are not up-to-date. Or the patch fails to be applied ?
Iulian

Hi Iulian,
I was unsuccessful in following the instructions for building OCC653 with the provided patch. (Note: the instructions didn't work perfectly either, but that's a different issue).
Can you provide the script or automated instructions that are used to build this on buildbot?

We actually test on cgm13.1 too, on buildbot http://gnep.mcs.anl.gov:8010/builders/cgm131-occ
"trunk", "tr", "tru" means current cgm master repo (former trunk on svn)
the others are with cgm branch cgm12.2 ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] on behalf of Grindeanu, Iulian R. [[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, March 20, 2014 3:59 PM To: Patrick Shriwise; [email protected] Subject: Re: [MOAB-dev] OCC CGM testing
occ 653 with cgm master, and occ 653 with cgm branch cgm12.2 (serial and parallel)
we used to test with cgm13.1 branch, too, but it should be fine

Hi all,
What version(s) of OCC and CGM are tested in the MOAB nightlies?
Going to create a similar set of builds for testing on my local machine.
Thanks!
