I recall from the most recent slide deck reporting on the status of MPI implementations (I think Pavan posted it on the MPI Forum list around SC15 timeframe) that Blue Gene/Q MPI has a no-op MPI_T implementation, which is to say, they expose zero pvars. I just learned about the performance variable interface and was hoping to try it out. However, I've tried a recent MPICH build from source on a workstation and the older MPI install on our IBM BlueGene/Q, both of which show zero performance variables. In particular,
MPI_T_pvar_get_num
returns zero. Is there something I need to do to get this working or should I turn to a different source to get such performance information ?
