Hello, These days, I'm using intensively NEOS with Knitro AMPL . I submit my model, data and parameters set through http://neos.mcs.anl.gov/neos/solvers/nco:KNITRO/AMPL.html For a few days, I have not been receiving any e-mail answer to each test I've done, although I can see everything is fine on the web page that appears once the job submitted : the process terminates normally. I have checked that my e-mail address is correctly filled. Is there any trouble with this e-mail procedure recently ? Thanks a lot for your feedback , and also for your great tool ! [NEOS Support Req #260] Some newbie questions on Kestrel

I'm not sure if this is the right e-mail target, but I didn't see any alternatives (other than perhaps direct e-mails to Todd or Bob)... I have two quick questions on Kestrel, but first some background. First, we are working on a Kestrel-based solver interface for our open-source python-based AML modeling tool (Pyomo). Second, we are trying (or at least thinking about trying, assuming we first part (1) working) a Kestrel-based solver interface for our open-source stochastic programming solver (PySP). For the latter, we need a quadratic solver, as we are using progressive hedging. My first question: When I submit to kestrel using the AMPL/CBC solver interface, I am getting the following error: No stations available for solver kestrel:Cbc:AMPL. Solver administrator has been notified. Is this "routine", or is CBC down for an extended time? My second question: XpressMP appears to be in the web-based interface, but not via kestrel (unless I missed the name in the list returned by the kestrel interface). Is there a fundamental reason for this, or just a "has-yet-to-be-requested" issue? Any information is greatly appreciated. For what it's worth, getting the python plugin up+running - at least to the point of job submission - was a breeze! Dear NEOS-keepers I have been using the NEOS solvers (specifically, milp:scip:CPLEX) to solve some large integer linear problems and I am both very impressed and deeply grateful. Even when an optimal solution is not found (after 36000 seconds) I have been able to obtain excellent solutions. Thank you very much for providing this service! With this in mind, I feel somewhat ashamed to write what may sound like a complaint, so I hope it reads as a query. I believe there may be something wrong with one of your servers (euler.la.asu.edu) I have currently a job running at sokrates.la.asu.edu (Job#: 1931921), which based on past experience I fully expect will run for 10 hours before a result is provided (it has been running for a couple of hours). I have then submitted a few other jobs that were sent to euler.la.asu.edu and all of these failed to run. I thought it was something wrong with my problem format, but then I sent exactly the same problem that is running on sokrates.la.asu.edu, and that too failed to run (that was Job#:1931940). I got the following error message: Failed to initialize CPLEX environment. CPLEX Error 32201: ILM Error 15: CPLEX: no license available (see http://support.ilog.com/faqmsg?m=ILM-15&v=2.62f) Exiting Unfortunately all the problems I try to submit now seem to go to euler.la.asu.edu and fail to run. Dear Sir/Madam, I was searching on the neos homepage, but I didn't find, so I would like to ask You that Can You provide me some information about the computers which belongs to Neos? Are there conventional PCs or much proffessional computers? What kind of CPUs, how many memory they have? I'm interested in this question because I would like to compare the solving time of these algorithms with other ones, which are running on my own PC at the Uni.
