The system should be robust to individual worker lockups and be able to continue working with the good workers. I'll start cooking up a solution, but we should probably also look at why the worker stops working. In this case, the bad worker is the one on thwomp. You can see how the "bad behaviour" looks like by looking at the last lines of its log.
