IBM is sneaky on the smart buy configs, maybe they want everyone to buy stuff they don't need.
We don't need uplifted support on the syslog server, almost all the xseries product line includes 3 years of NBD support.

Which would bring the syslog server configuration to $4,813. The info on the RAID card is http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/technotes/tips0857.pdf. I also don't see the BBU (81Y4508) for the RAID on the GSA configurator.
The backup server also didn't include the power supplies. So the following extra would be needed (along with the missing BBUs for each controller):
