Is the 'mysql.mcs.anl.gov' alias going to be moved to point at coredb? On 06/19/2009 04:25 PM, Kenneth Raffenetti wrote:

Hi all,
We're going to be retiring aha.mcs.anl.gov soon, and in the process we'll be splitting it's mysql databases between a "core" and "development" server to better protect systems services from server crashes. What this means is that userbase will be moving to a different hostname when we make this change.
Now is the time to starting thinking about all the places where you read from userbase and how you can change the configs to point to the new location (coredb.mcs.anl.gov). I would like to go ahead with this next week, if possible. If you have any issues, please let me know. Otherwise, I will send out an outage announcement on Monday.
