Darshan PNETCDF delete function

Hello, I am currently working on creating Darshan support for pNetCDF library, specifically the ncmpi_delete function. I would like to complete the task of saving the start and end timestamp of the pNetCDF but am running into the error "invalid storage class" for functions such pnetcdf_runtime_initialize when I run make install. I have added to the darshan-pnetcdf.c file in darshan-runtime/lib and darshan-utils/darshan-pnetcdf-logutils.c Would you happen to have run into this error before? Also, would it be possible to explain how the darshan_add_record_ref() and darshan_delete_record_ref() functions work? Thank you so much for your help!

BUG: darshan-runtime makefile.in pkgconfig file location

Hello, The definition of the pkgconfig file location is incorrect in darshan-runtime/Makefile.in. It is currently: libdir = $(DESTDIR)@libdir@ pkgconfigdir = $(DESTDIR)$(libdir)/pkgconfig My belief is that the second line should be: pkgconfigdir = $(DESTDIR)@libdir@/pkgconfig Thanks, Matthew

Hi, I'm having problems compiling Darshan on my laptop running Debian buster with MPICH-3.3. Here's how I compile: $ git clone https://xgitlab.cels.anl.gov/darshan/darshan.git $ cd darshan/darshan-runtime $ ./configure --prefix=$PWD/install CC=mpicc --with-mem-align=8 --with-log-path=/tmp/log_darshan --with-jobid-env=NONE $ make [...] mpicc -DDARSHAN_CONFIG_H=\"darshan-runtime-config.h\" -I . -I. -I./../ -g -O2 -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -shared -fpic -DPIC -DDARSHAN_PRELOAD -c lib/darshan-stdio.c -o lib/darshan-stdio.po /tmp/cc6UpHUi.s: Assembler messages: /tmp/cc6UpHUi.s:7769: Error: symbol `__isoc99_fscanf' is already defined make: *** [Makefile:143: lib/darshan-stdio.po] Error 1 The preprocessed file (darshan-stdio.c) is attached. The problem is probably due to line 585 (in the preprocessed source code) : extern int fscanf (FILE *__restrict __stream, const char *__restrict __format, ...) __asm__ ("" "__isoc99_fscanf") If I comment this line, the compilation succeeds. Darshan & EPCC benchio different behaviour

Dear all I'm using Darshan to measure EPCC benchio benchmark (https://github.com/EPCCed/benchio) behaviour on a given x86 Tier1 machine. running two benchio tests (MPI-IO and serial) a different behaviour appear while Darhsan pdf log file is able to recover the estimated time and bandwidth in the MPI-IO case, the "serial" run is completely underestimated by Darshan (the time and bandwidth are less/greater than benchio output).
