Without Darshan, the code will execute, but when set LD_PRELOAD, the code aborts. My suspicion is that there is a problem with my hdf5 library build.

My BGQ recipe (attached) is not so different from the one you shared with me all those years ago. I merely updated it for 1.8 ==rob
