I noticed you used gcc (GCC) 4.9.0 20140309 (experimental). gcc4.9 was released on Apr. 22, 2014. Could you try a stable gcc release? --Junchao Zhang On Tue, May 27, 2014 at 4:06 PM, Karl Volz <[email protected]> wrote:
Hello Rajeev-
I set environment variables:
FC= gfortran CC=gcc
I cleaned the build and did a new configure with no options.
../src/mpich-3.1/configure --prefix=/usr/local/mpich-3.1 2>&1 | tee c.log
I have also attached a corresponding config.log
thank you,

Can you send us the c.txt file (i.e., the output printed by configure on the screen).

I noticed that others have successfully compiled using gnu compilers on Mavericks
For 3.1 stable, I get a hung configure at
checking for multiple__attribute_-((alias)) support in section
"Configuring hwloc core"
while trying:
./configure FC=gfortran CC=gcc CXX=g++ F77=gfortran
I attached a config log.
