Hello.
On the machines which have installed Python 2.4.3 mpdboot from 1.2.1 is hang, but from 1.1.1 completed without any issue.
OS version:
# cat /etc/*release*
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)
mpich2-1.2.1 was built with gcc:
# gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-44)
Pyhton version:
# python -V
Python 2.4.3
Mpdboot commandline:
# mpdboot -n 2 -r ssh -f mpd.hosts
# cat mpd.hosts
node1
node2
Ssh version:
# ssh -V
OpenSSH_4.3p2, OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008
I found the bug in next string of mpd.py
199: #sys.stdin.close() - original code
200: os.close(0) - from mpich2-1.1.1
After applying changes from mpich2-1.1.1 I was able to run mpboot without any issue.
