All, It was planned that I would be going to LISA2010 for the week. Due to a medical condition diagnosed Friday, I will not. Please take a few minutes in the next day or so to scan through this list to identify anything that you think could be managed by bcfg, rsyncing, or a combination, or could be moved to a KVM. For example, if it's a web server, could it function as a virtual machine? Or could it be rebuilt entirely by bcfg and rsync-ing its htdocs and /var/log trees off to a fileserver? Is there something on this list that I've missed that should be backed up by the UofC server? (edu pricing is significantly cheaper) Each node that we weed could mean between about $1000 - $3000 savings depending on the type and number of cores ... and an angel gets its wings. Thanks a pile.
