This went well last year, so I am arranging it again: WHAT: Pizza and Soda Lunch WHEN: Friday, 19th, from 12:00PM CST (18:00 UTC) WHERE: TCS Conf Center, 1406/1407 WHO: Sysadmins, and everyone else WHY: Socially engineered change control In the fine tradition of good sysadmins everywhere, we have come up with a distraction to help prevent making any changes to systems this Friday, the "Read-only Friday" pizza lunch. This invite is explicitly to LCF Staff, and all CELS and CIS sysadmins, but is open to everyone, so long as you RSVP. I need the RSVPs to know how much pizza to order. If you're interested, please RSVP to let me know how much to order, and preferences on toppings. All I ask is to please bring $5 to help me pay for the pizza and soda. I'll be bringing in some board games, card games. Feel free to bring your own. -Skip ps. I'll probably bring in fudge or cookies, maybe both. pps. I do realize that "please RSVP" is redundant and repetitive. That's why I do it. ppps. Just a reminder to all interested. We'll bail on out of here around 3:30 and make our way to Imperial Oak. We'll do our always fun white elephant gift exchange there, too. Find something silly or cool (up to you, just make sure it's cheap), wrap it up, and we'll go over the rules when we get there for those not interested. First round or two of drinks on me, and we'll order some food once we get there. Also, Pizza Boss food truck will show up at 5. They make good pizza. Yum. I'm going to extend an invite to the ALCF Sysadmins to join us after work if they feel so inclined. But I'm not buying them any beer. Screw them.
