I will be working from home the rest of this week to be with Nicolette. She has mono w/ strep (guess what, 25% of mono cases also get strep with it. She really needs to play the lottery) The Dr. said she cannot return to school this week. She is too weak and her throat is so swollen that she can't speak to be left alone at this point. Hi, In order to try to complete 95% of the Globus sites by Friday I need to work from home a few days - the more I get done the sooner I can move-on from this project and unto something else. Nicolette has been complaining since Sunday her throat hurts. Last night her neck looked a bit swollen, this morning it is noticeably swollen and she can't even talk (I know what your thinking, why fix that problem) or swallow. I have to get her in to see the Dr. His office opens at 9. I am going to take Vinnie to school and then come back here and WFH till his office opens and see when I can take her. I'll keep you posted after I speak with his office, on the rest of my fun-filled day. T.

Interesting tidbit re: 140.221.0.0/16

When you search for something on Google, you may find that it's giving location-based searches as if you're in New Orleans. Here's my theory why -- a Google truck drove by the convention center some time during SC when the wifi was live. Google and others use this data for some aspect of geolocation. Even though we give the upper half of 140.221 to SC each year, it's not listed as a separate network. It's all listed as one class B in ARIN. If I'm right, the more interesting bit is that this will never be fixed. A google truck won't get onsite to drive past our buidling, and even if it did, we don't broadcast any wireless on 140.221 here. There's no mechanism to tell Google they've got it wrong, from what I can tell. So next year, it may think 140.221 is in Seattle. And they year after that, Salt Lake City. (Side tidbit - OS X computers can auto-set their timezone based on the location of the access point you're connected to on wireless, as determined by the wifi scans the Google trucks do in their drives. When Cory Lueninghoener moved to New Mexico, he had to turn that off, because his home access point, despite being in New Mexico, was considered to be in Downers Grove by the Googles and anyone using their data.)
