Please keep this discussion on an internal mailing list. Emails sent to mpich2-maint@ are publicly visible. I haven't heard back on any problems with this file and it seems to be convenient for the Fedora maintainers. Upgrade to newer trac version

Hi all, We will be upgrading to newer trac (and svn) versions soon. With the new version, we'll have some additional features, which will allow us to make some changes to our trac usage. Here are some notes, in case you have any comments: 1. We can change mpich2-maint to a regular email discussion kind of list and change the trac email interface to mpich2-bugs. That way, users *cannot* directly "email" bugs into the trac system. Once we see the emails on mpich2-maint, if we feel that it is in fact a real bug, we can either forward it to mpich2-bugs, or (more preferably) just add them to trac using the web option. If we go with the second option, we won't need the mpich2-bugs email interface at all. 2. Users will be able to directly append comments to the tickets. They are some safeguards (check if the user knows what 2+3 means) to ensure there is no spam. These two will get rid of most of the email2trac requirement, which is buggy and broken most times (remember the infinite email loops and all the spam we get). 1.1.1 release

We need to get the MPI_Init scalability fix out and there are a bunch of other bug fixes as well. Perhaps we should just do an early 1.1.1 instead of a patch release. How about doing a 1.1.1 sometime in the week of July 6-10? There are many tickets with a milestone of 1.1.1. Please take a look at your tickets and see what will be done by 1.1.1 and move the less-important ones to 1.1.2. Rajeev

automake-1.11 dependency

Hi all, This is just a heads-up that as of r4758, Hydra depends on automake-1.11 or higher. You can download it from here: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.11.tar.gz. Btw, I'm looking for an option for configure to break if the version doesn't match (something similar to AC_PREREQ for automake). Does someone know what this is? IBM's dcmfd source code
