It can be. However, I did not put it in. Why not, is a good question? Issues that can be fixed relatively quickly often do not go into IMTS. For instance, I did call the FMS hot line about the snow and ice on the sidewalk across from 221. I would never consider putting that into IMTS, and I think that attitude is pretty much universal across the site. I do not expect that FMS will enter the issue into IMTS. It would take any of us 10 times longer to futz with IMTS, then to just call and get it resolved. Plus, in that specific case, it would probably just irritate Gale Stein if I assigned the issue to her, or to even one of her staff.
Many divisions will not enter inspection findings if the items can be fixed within a couple of days; issues like minor housekeeping or cords on the floor. They will hold the list, but rather than put the items into IMTS, they just monitor internally. If they recognize the problem cannot be resolved quickly, or may involve discussion outside the Division, then it usually goes into IMTS and is assigned. Also, high profile safety issues will go into IMTS. The main reason for this is the time involved in setting up issue entries in IMTS to ensure monitoring and final close out of the item, along with discussion that it was fixed. High profile entries, require submitting formal proof of some kind that the Action performed was accomplished in a satisfactory manner.
In this specific case of the mats, we have no direct control over what Colliers allows, and we cannot go to ANL management over an issue, which makes tracking somewhat questionable. What I can do is put it on the CELS safety issues list to make sure it gets discussed. We meet sort of monthly to discuss issues brought to the CELS directorate and track them locally. Silvia manages the list.
As you can see, I did send it to the CELS safety list. If anyone brings up a safety issue to you, just send it on the email link I copied above and it will go on our list to resolve.

The long gaps between the doors and rugs still provides to large an open space where it is still easy to slip with wet shoes. Can we get the rugs moved? This makes good sense to me, I have experienced the high tendency to slip myself.
