Sharepoint preview

For those of you who wish to put their MS hats on and take sharepoint for a test-drive CIS has set up a sharepoint sandbox site at https://sharepoint.anl.gov/Training/sandbox1/default.aspx I had them add the systems group to the acl for it. I think sharepoint would be primarily useful for sharing MS application data between MCS users and between other divisions around the lab. MS office has some integration with sharepoint so files on your site appear as regular files to the application, instead of having to use the browser to download/upload files. lockd problem

It turns out a workstation had a process that spun out of control that was causing a flood of lock requests. The filesystem errors had nothing to do with the lock issue. Userbase Update

The password reset issue we experienced this morning has been resolved, passwords can now be reset via the admin. There seems to be some sort of infinite loop running between the MCS and LCRC accounts, so for the time being I've commented out the sync when MCS records are committed.. I'll debug this further off-line..
