[image: image.png] [image: image.png] [image: image.png] Hello, I am currently having a problem in installation of MPICH.. after I put command "PATH=/home/SOFTWARE/mpich-install/bin:$PATH ; export PATH" it still says the error and I cannot proceed the installation.. Fatal error in PMPI_Isend: Unknown error class

Hello all, I am seeing this: "Abort(105) on node 0 (rank 0 in comm 0): Fatal error in PMPI_Isend: Unknown error class" This is after my float vector I am sending to the nodes has increased to a size of ~70 elements. I cannot find any documentation about what this means. I tracked down where this fails and upon sending it to the 300th process (of 600), the MPI_ISend() command dies and this error shows. Is there anything I can do to further diagnose the issue? Best, Brent

Hello, As said in the installguide from the MPICH website, I am contacting you because I've got an error during the installation in the c.txt file, and I think this error stop my progression to the installation because I cannot do the step 6. At the bottom of the file it is said " configure: error : no ch4 netmod selected". This may be a self explanatory error but I'm a beginner on Ubuntu and my skills are limited yet. Check `src/mpid/common/thread/mpidu_thread_fallback.h`. MPID_THREAD_ macros are defined to the `MPIDU_THREAD_` macros. This is to allow device override of locking mechanism. Dear sir or madam, I’m currently working on a project with mpich. I faced some difficulties when I would like to count the mutex waiting time, just like what they did on the paper, Fine-Grained Multithreading Support for Hybrid Threaded MPI Programming. I could not find the definition of the function, MPID_THREAD_CS_ENTER(GLOBAL, MPIR_THREAD_GLOBAL_ALLFUNC_MUTEX). If you could provide me more detailed information, I will appreciate it.
