Hi, Monday, June 6th: I have an eye appointment at 12 in Bucktown. I will work from home before and after. Wednesday: June 15th: Max has a Dr.'s appointment at 4:30. I'll need to leave here at 3pm to have enough time to pick him up and take him to Rush. Forewarning: I may take my floating holiday on Friday, June 24th. I'm going to Ohio to visit family and friends. Beth

Vacation reminder

Just a heads up about my upcoming time off. I'll be out on Monday, 6/20 (taking some comp time to make up for Memorial Day), at Argonne Tuesday through Friday, then disappearing for two weeks of being largely incommunicado. I return to the US on 7/10, and return to work on 7/11. My mobile (630-863-6665) will work to reach me for emergencies, but I'll not have regular internet access for most of the trip. As such, a text message will be a good way to reach me. When I'm in Newfoundland, I won't have net where I'm staying, but can get to a place with net if necessary. == Craig

Web Server Question

In the apache configs on our web servers what is the difference between the entries in the sites-enabled directory and the sites-available directory? More importantly, which should be the basis for the list of sites I need to put into Nagios? If I had to guess I'd go with sites-enabled, but I'd rather not guess. -- Adam

Core PDUs being monitored

We have nagios polling the web interface and pulling out the data for each PDU on the input and output side of the transformer (this includes voltage and current draws). We are testing them against a reasonable set of thresholds to ensure proper operation.
