It shouldn't hurt to have a few more eyes check it out. ftp://wilbur.mcs.anl.gov I'm pretty sure I've got the incoming permissions set correctly. You can view things over nfs at /nfs/ftpservers/ftp.mcs.anl.gov. Also, http://ftp.mcs.anl.gov is setup. Access to the incoming directory is not allowed from the web, but I might consider an anonymous WebDAV PUT in the future. As usual, you'll need to be inside the firewall to view this stuff. It has 4 500GB drives configured in a raid 5 with 3ware card. I've done some initial configuration of the ftp server and will be ready to move some ftp virtual hosts over this week - moved the squid web proxy from apollo to breeze (they run the same version, so this was a no-op) - coordinated with Kaz and upgraded all the wikis on the bg.anl-external.org machine. list archive problems

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Paul Hovland has alerted me to some archives at lists.mcs.anl.gov that for various reason should not have been public. A few of the new lists were set to not archive messages, but any previous messages I may have imported were still public. I've removed the archives in question, but not before google has indexed/cached some. I have put in place a robots.txt file disallowing all crawlers and have submitted an urgent removal request through google webmaster tools for any pages that have been cached. I'm not sure who else we should alert. Thoughts?
