There might be a solid fix for this particular issue. If we bring up the backup link to 541b first (a bit of fiber provisioning to get that done), you would see a minor interruption of connectivity to the servers in 221, but not between them. Otherwise, you take the 30 second outage for spanning-tree to recalculate. Same impact there, just longer. Communication between the devices in the rack in 221 would be unaffected. There are a few ports labeled as going to MCS equipment and Corby mentioned that you may have more information. [CELS Sysadmins] Service Now groups

We're at the point where I want to move from one monolithic queue to queues for individual groups. Based on discussion on the confluence page earlier this year (and some changes due to limitations in ISAAC), I've had groups set up so that we can accomplish this. I've populated the groups and edited the page here: https://collab.cels.anl.gov/display/CELS/Service+Now+Groups However, the changes won't go into effect immediately. When I've confirmed the new groups are populated, I'll change the membership on the Service Desk group to only include Tina and Martino. Tickets sent to help(a)cels.anl.gov will still get auto-assigned to the Service Desk, but for any issues that need escalating, Tina or Martino will assign to the appropriate group and person.
